The waters of the Bowstring River system are clean and clear - great for swimming and boating.  The river allows boaters access to Sand or Little Sand Lakes where many of our guests spend their summer afternoons waterskiing and tubing.  A short drive brings you to one of the many sand beaches in our area allowing swimmers, sand castle builders and sun-seekers an ideal spot to spend a summer afternoon.  Or Anchor Inn guests can rent a paddleboat and spend hours exploring the wildlife that inhabits the shores of the Bowstring River and Rice Lake.
